The SCHA Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for scholars from across the state, nation, and world to present their historical findings. We welcome both academic, public, and independent scholars to present their work on a variety of topics, including South Carolina, United States and World History as well as work in public history and pedagogy.
All those interested in history are welcome to attend the annual conference, including undergraduate students and the general public.
SCHA also conducts its business at the annual conference, including the election of officers and board members, a review of the institution's finances, and discussions and votes on changes in SCHA policy or its constitution.
The location of the annual meeting varies by year, with both public and private colleges and universities hosting the SCHA.
