2026 SCHA Annual Meeting
In 2026, the SCHA Annual Meeting will mark the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution on March 13 and March 14 at the Madren Conference Center and Inn at Clemson University in Clemson, SC

Backcountry Resistance: South Carolina's Militia and the Fight for American Independence
Book Presentation and Signing
USC Press will offer Backcountry Resistance at the conference.
On Friday March 13, 2026, Historic Properties at Clemson has scheduled a slate of site tours tied to the American Revolutionary period free of charge and open to conference attendees and the public.
The SCHA Board will host a social on Friday evening.
On Saturday March 14, 2026, the Annual Meeting (academic conference) takes place at the Madren Conference Center. Registration is $45.00. Those participating on panels and presenting papers also pay the $25.00 SCHA annual membership fee.
Attendees may choose to stay in the Inn adjacent to the conference center.

Conference presenters must also become SCHA members, with the exception of the undergraduate poster participants.
